AI Safety Info (also known as Stampy's AI Safety Info) is an open-source project that builds and maintains aisafety.info, a comprehensive interactive FAQ about existential risk from artificial intelligence. Founded by AI safety communicator Rob Miles, the project is maintained by a global team of specialists and volunteers. It aims to centralize high-quality answers to common questions about AI alignment, provide a learning path for newcomers to AI safety, and guide resource allocation by tracking which questions people ask most. The site features hundreds of articles covering introductions to basic AI safety arguments, summaries of technical content, and responses to common objections.

Theory of Change
AI Safety Info believes that broad public understanding of AI existential risk is a critical prerequisite for adequate societal response. By creating a centralized, high-quality, accessible resource that addresses questions from all audience levels -- newcomers, skeptics, interested learners, and aspiring contributors -- the project aims to grow the number of people who understand and take AI safety seriously. This in turn increases the talent pipeline into AI safety research and governance, builds public support for safety-oriented policies, and helps onboard people into the AI safety community where they can contribute directly. The project also serves as a knowledge base that helps existing researchers and communicators share and reference well-written explanations of key concepts.
