Theory of Change
Building a pipeline of skilled individuals in AI policy careers increases the number of capable people who can shape AI governance at government agencies, think tanks, international bodies, and frontier AI companies. By funding career transitions, graduate education, and exploration periods, the program removes financial barriers that might otherwise prevent talented people from entering the AI policy field. More and better-trained AI policy professionals can then improve the quality of AI governance decisions, increase the likelihood of effective regulation, and help ensure that transformative AI development goes well for humanity.
