Theory of Change
interface believes that well-researched, independent analysis delivered directly to European policymakers and the public will lead to better technology governance outcomes. By publishing accessible policy analysis, hosting expert debates, and engaging legislators across the EU and Germany, the organization aims to shape the regulatory frameworks governing AI, cybersecurity, and digital platforms. On AI specifically, the goal is to help governments develop effective oversight and governance mechanisms that reduce risks from advanced AI systems. The causal chain runs from rigorous research to informed policymakers to better-designed laws and regulations that mitigate the harms and risks of transformative technologies.
