5050 AI track
About
Updated 05/18/265050’s AI track recruits scientists, researchers, and engineers to start companies that build safety and alignment infrastructure for advanced AI systems. Through a 5050 cohort, participants receive founder training, mentorship from leading AI safety researchers and entrepreneurs, and support to launch ventures in areas like safety evaluation and red‑teaming, mechanistic interpretability platforms, multi‑agent oversight tools, AI governance and compliance, and other high‑leverage AI safety applications.
Theory of Change
The 5050 AI track aims to increase the number and quality of commercially viable AI safety startups by equipping technically strong researchers with founder skills, mentorship, and a focused set of problem areas. By seeding companies that build safety evaluation tools, interpretability platforms, alignment infrastructure, and governance and compliance systems, the track seeks to make robust AI safety infrastructure widely available to labs and enterprises deploying powerful AI systems.
