Org Details
Updated 05/18/26RAISEimpact (Raising AI Safety Effectiveness and Impact) is a management and leadership support program for organizations working to reduce risks from advanced AI. It focuses on helping AI safety organizations strengthen their leadership and organizational practices so they can operate more effectively and increase their impact, and is fully funded by Open Philanthropy. The program works closely with leadership teams through dedicated workshops and strategy processes, followed by support in implementing agreed priorities. Client testimonials describe RAISEimpact’s leadership workshops and assistance with designing team strategy retreats as helping them clarify their vision, sharpen their theory of change, and refine their long-term organizational direction. RAISEimpact also advises organizational leaders on areas such as hiring strategy, team composition, and organizational culture. As of 2026, RAISEimpact reports four AI safety organizations as clients and is running additional leadership-team workshops with candidate organizations before selecting further partners for implementation support.
Theory of Change
Updated 05/18/26RAISEimpact operates on the premise that many AI safety organizations are limited not by talent or funding alone, but by organizational dysfunction — unclear roles, weak management systems, and poor team dynamics. By improving leadership and management practices at AI safety organizations, RAISEimpact aims to increase their operational effectiveness, improve talent retention and decision-making, and ultimately enhance their capacity to reduce catastrophic AI risks. Stronger organizations produce better research, policy, and technical work, which translates into reduced AI x-risk.
