Tamara Borine
Bio
Tamara Borine is a data scientist and software engineer based in London, UK. She attended the Makers coding bootcamp (August 2016 cohort) and subsequently joined Thoughtworks as a software engineering consultant, before transitioning to a data science role working in competition economics. She is the organizer of CaSPAR (Cambridge Summer Programme in Applied Reasoning), an immersive one-week programme for mathematically talented Cambridge students covering rationality and effective altruism concepts, comparable to programmes like SPARC and ESPR. In November 2020, she received a $32,660 grant from the Long-Term Future Fund to organize immersive workshops on meta skills and existential risk for STEM students at top universities. She has also been active in the EA community more broadly, co-hosting the inaugural Improving Institutional Decision-Making working group meetup at EA Global London 2019 and contributing feedback to EA research publications.
