Remco Zwetsloot
Bio
Updated 05/18/26Remco Zwetsloot is the Co‑Founder and Co‑Executive Director of the Horizon Institute for Public Service. Previously, he was a Trustee Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where he remains a non‑resident Adjunct Fellow, and a founding Research Fellow at Georgetown’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology, leading work on the U.S. AI and semiconductor workforce. His research on the emerging technology workforce, STEM immigration, research security, and U.S.–China technology competition has appeared in outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and Foreign Affairs, and has been cited in high‑level policy reports. Remco holds master’s degrees from Yale University and the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree from University College Roosevelt.
