Jingyi Wang
Bio
Jingyi Wang is an Operations Staff member at METR (Model Evaluation and Threat Research), a nonprofit that conducts third-party evaluations of frontier AI models for autonomous capabilities and safety risks. She studied Computer Science and Creative Writing at Brandeis University, where she was also an EA (Effective Altruism) organizer. She co-founded OPTIC Forecasting in early 2023 alongside Saul Munn and Tom Shlomi, with mentorship from Juan Gil. OPTIC built infrastructure for undergraduate intercollegiate forecasting tournaments and clubs, running competitions across Boston, the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington DC, London, and Providence from 2023 to 2025. Her grant from LTFF supported an in-person OPTIC intercollegiate forecasting tournament held in Boston in April 2024, covering prizes, venue, and logistics.
