Theory of Change

The initiative’s theory of change is that intervening early in the deployment of powerful AI systems can prevent harmful incentive structures from becoming locked in. By clarifying how AI design and business models affect core human capacities, articulating new social norms and legal rights, and equipping policymakers and civil society with concrete frameworks such as CHT’s AI Roadmap, the project aims to shift AI development toward systems that protect human dignity and agency.
