Institute for Foundations of Machine Learning (IFML)

The Institute for Foundations of Machine Learning (IFML) is an NSF-designated AI institute led from UT Austin with partners including the University of Washington, Stanford, UCLA, Wichita State University, the Santa Fe Institute, and others. Its researchers develop new algorithms that allow machines to learn on the fly, update their expectations as they encounter people and objects in the real world, and remain robust even when adversaries try to manipulate training data, underpinning more accurate and reliable AI systems.
